Cord-Cutting Spell
What You’ll Need:
Two candles (one for each person, with their names carved on them)
Black string (to symbolize the energetic connection)
Salt (for protection and purification)
Sigil with your intent (to break the bond)
Instructions:
Prepare Your Space: Set up your ritual space where you won’t be disturbed. Cast a circle or cleanse the area by sprinkling salt in a protective circle around your space.
Carve the Names: Take your two candles and carve the names of the two individuals on each one. This represents the energetic link between the two.
Set Your Intention: Hold the black string and focus on the intention of severing the ties between the two individuals. As you visualize this, tie the string loosely around the base of both candles, connecting them.
Place the Sigil: Draw or place your sigil between the two candles. Infuse it with your intent, visualizing the energetic bond dissolving.
Salt for Purification: Sprinkle a ring of salt around the candles and string. This will serve to cleanse and protect the space as you sever the connection.
Light the Candles: Light both candles, focusing on the flame representing the bond that once existed.
As the candles burn, say:
"By flame and light, I sever the ties,
No longer bound, the connection dies.
With this cut, I now set free,
What once was ours, now let it be."Let the Candles Burn Out: Allow the candles to burn, pay attention as it works it’s way to the string and monitor the process.
Burn the Sigil (optional): If you feel it adds power, you can burn the sigil in the candle flame, allowing its energy to be released.
Close the Ritual: Thank any energies or deities you’ve called upon, and close your circle if you’ve cast one. Dispose of the remains of the working as you feel fit.
